Each project was aimed to redesign the classic story "Hansel and Gretel".
Character Design class taught by Katia Grifols.
Program used: Adobe Photoshop

Red Riding Hood Project
Transformed the story of Red Riding Hood into a story about a character named Riri who is based off of celebrities like the Kardashians who gets involved with a paparazzi named Shadow.

19th Century Hansel and Gretel
Based off the story of Hansel and Gretel, I created characters that are spoiled, rich, royal children who live in an 19th century European environment.

Puppet Mayhem
These are two, infamous, German siblings, Hansel & Gretel, who were turned into wooden puppets by the evil witch. Now as wooden dolls, they are sent into the village to create mischief and crime for the witch.
Cultural Design
Taking the idea of the previous project above ("Puppet Mayhem"), I did a costume design study focusing on various countries including German, Hispanic, Indian and Hawaiian cultures. Then focused on the Hawaiian cultural design with the color design of the costume. Color design being inspired by the traditional costumes, the ocean and the sunset.
Head and Body Turn Around
Hawaiian puppet design head and body turn around sheets.
Body Expressions
Hawaiian puppet design with various face and body expressions.
Show Characterization
My favorite project from the whole semester was researching and adapting my own character into another shows style. It let me personally experience and go through the steps of adapting to a specific show, as if I were in the industry doing this for a studio. I chose to adapt my Hawaiian Wooden dolls to the style of Nickelodeon's "The Fairly Odd Parents".
